About me

For over 28 years, I’ve been helping people navigate life’s challenges and uncover new possibilities. Therapy with me is a collaborative process where we’ll explore the patterns, thoughts, and behaviors that may be holding you back, working together to create the change you want to see in your life.

My approach is straightforward, emotion-focused, and intentional. I believe therapy should be thought-provoking and perspective-changing, and I’m here to help you meet your goals with compassion and honesty. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and other approaches to address a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, family conflicts, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, personal growth, and more. My practice serves adults, children, teens, couples, families, and LGBTQ+ clients.

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to wear many hats in my career. I’ve served as a therapist at C.A.A.N., the Director of North Central College’s Wellness Center, Assistant Dean for Student Retention, Director of Hillside Academy, and creator of both a K-12 school climate assessment and North Central College’s Early Alert system. For over 20 years, I’ve also run a private practice where I work with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Beyond therapy, I train and supervise associate therapists and lead workshops and seminars to help people grow personally and professionally. No matter the setting, I’m committed to fostering authenticity, connection, and meaningful change.
